How to read the result
How the speaker test works
The positional control reuses the local oscillator and gain-ramp implementation from the sound tool. Only one requested output path receives non-zero gain at a time. Confirmation state is separate from playback state so the page never treats a generated tone as proof of a physical speaker.
What the result can establish
Test front left and front right separately. Confirm only the speaker that actually produced output; independent centre, rear and subwoofer channels are not supported.
Measurement limits
Browser channel counts can be reduced by the operating system or connected interface. The page cannot remap a driver or identify a physical cable.

How do I test speakers one side at a time?
Select a position and press play. Only that merger input receives oscillator energy while every other gain stays at zero, so a tone you hear from the wrong side is proof of a routing problem rather than a page error.
Why does this left right speaker test ask me to confirm?
Because the page knows which channel it generated but cannot hear your room. Confirmation records what you actually observed and keeps it separate from playback state, so a generated tone is never treated as proof that a physical speaker works.
Can this speaker tester check a subwoofer or centre channel?
No. Output is stereo left and right only. Independent centre, rear and low-frequency channels are assigned by the operating system or receiver after the browser, so those need your system's own speaker configuration tool.
